Annamirka Criscuolo is an Italian multidisciplinary artist with a background in painting and animation cinema. Her practice moves across installation, video, animation, and immersive media, exploring the processes through which perceptual, emotional, and cultural identities are formed and transformed.

Her research focuses on the relationship between experience and interpretation, investigating perception as a dynamic process in which the body, context, and cognitive systems contribute to the construction of meaning. Through immersive environments and experiential devices, her works question the presumed objectivity of perceived reality, revealing how what we see, feel, and recognize as part of ourselves emerges from a continuous process of elaboration.

Her practice invites the viewer to engage with experiences in which perception is not understood as a passive act, but as an embodied and constantly evolving process, opening a space for reflection on the ways we interpret ourselves and the world around us.
